- Full Ownership Plans: Moved to acquire the remaining 25% government stake to transition the airline to complete private ownership.

An Arif Habib-led consortium acquired a 75% majority stake in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for Rs 135 billion in December 2025, and subsequently moved to buy the remaining 25% for Rs 45 billion through a special vehicle named PIA Equity Ltd to secure full private ownership
